citizenM hotels have two key areas: their living rooms (the hotel lobby, lounge, bar and cafe) and the bedrooms (their take on the capsule hotel with a boutique twist).
Each living room has been well-designed and filled with art on the walls and shelves, couches and comfy chairs in large and small clusters, as well as tables to eat or work from. TVs provide some collective entertainment, and the full-service bar with cafe is at hand to make your hangout enjoyable. The living rooms (some hotels even have a rooftop indoor living room) range between dark and romantic for a chill relaxing break, or bright and airy for enjoying the view. We’ve met groups of friends in various European cities and enjoyed our own corner of the living as if we were in a trendy local venue but away from the crowds. And when we were done, escaping to our room and the personal relaxation was always a short journey.
Every bedroom features a king-sized bed and smart-features all controlled from the room’s iPad. The rooms may be small but they’re the perfect size for their locations and prices. Ideal for close couples or singles, the rooms feature a bathroom pod inside a frosted glass enclosure (a curtain can be wrapped around the shower for added privacy). Black-out blinds activated by the smart-controls (and triggered by the alarm setting if you wish) provide the perfect lighting conditions for you to enjoy the king-sized bed whether sleeping or enjoying the television at the foot of the bed.
